Magic Mother, Stardust Daughter

A mixed media collage series for The Identity Issue, an art book and gallery curated by Lemonade in The Garden.  When thinking of my identity for this piece I wanted to create an amalgamation of things that made me, me. I chose mixed media because, often I feel like I have to put myself in a box and stick to one medium, but like my art I am multifaceted, multilayered, and sometimes all over the place. I wanted to express that identity isn’t something you can boil down to one thing, it’s everything and more.
